Crack Plants

Crack plants are the tiny creeping plants that flourish between stepping stones in the garden.  Low-growing, durable plants soften the hard edges of paving and add interesting textures and seasonal interest to the garden path.  The following plants grow well in-between stepping stones and can withstand some foot traffic:

  • Thymus praecox
  • Mazus reptans
  • Sedum spp. (some)
